I really need to get my butt in gear and get a move on. I need more discipline. We were watching Biggest Loser last night and my husband said that he needs to lose 50 pounds. He's right, he does. So do I. Of course, when I asked him what we were going to do about that, our son slid off his lap and threw up all over him and the chair... perfect timing. Poor kid, he's never thrown up before and it scared the heck out of him. I had my weigh in today... lost... 0 pounds. Zero. None. Nada. At least it wasn't a gain, but it's still disappointing with all the work I did this week. I've been watching what I eat, but apparently I need to watch it more. I'm sticking with the Special K cereal for breakfast/lunch this whole next week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am without a doubt an emotional/boredom eater. What's the first thing I wanted to do when I saw I didn't lose anything? I've slacked off. Majorly. I've stopped working out. I've stopped tracking my food. I've gained 5 lbs, so I'm no longer in Onederland. I'm just over the 200 mark. 200.6 to be exact. That sucks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I'm starting again. I started EA Active 30 day Challenge yesterday. Of course, I can barely walk this morning, but am going to do it again. Kind of. I haven't worked out since I lost the horses. Bad, I know. My son's 2nd birthday party is Saturday and next week I'm going to start working out again. Especially since the weather is getting nicer and I can get outside. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I just haven't had the motivation to do much of anything. I've been cleaning the house this week in prep for his party, and trying not to eat my emotions. I haven't exercised at all this week. Or last week. I've been going through a lot of emotional stuff. Last Friday, my two horses, Raja and Kobe, were put down. They were 21 and 23. They had a rough winter and had lost a lot of weight. It was time. I was there right till the end, how could I not be? I asked my friends on Facebook for suggestions on a healthier dip for raw veggies. Hummus was the resounding answer. I've looked at hummus before and never picked it up. It just looks funny... kind of like wet sand. I picked up Sabra Roasted Red Pepper hummus today. I was right, it is kind of like wet sand. It's ok though. Sorta. Enough that I'll keep eating it. I bought baby carrots, orange bell peppers and broccoli to go with it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They had original and pine nut or something like that. I didn't see the lemon they listed on their website. Next week :) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can't really see a difference looking at myself, but I can feel it in my jeans. They're looser in that "pooch" area (which I know I'll have a hard time losing due to my c-section 2 years ago) and the back of my thighs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can feel a difference when I wake up in the morning. I have more energy and want to do things. I am sleeping better at night, not laying there for 2 hours with my mind going non-stop.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I bought a mini trampoline yesterday. I set up another login on Wii Walk It Out just for the mini tramp. Ha, named the character "Tramp" :) Mini tramps have lots of benefits and burn more calories in a shorter time. So it'll be another weapon for my arsenal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S. I did really good with those evil chocolates my mom brought. I had one, and they were nasty, so I was safe :) I did good on Valentine's Day too. I made a special run to Dairy Queen and instead of getting my normal small Blizzard (750 calories!?!), I got a butterscotch Dilly Bar (240 calories). She's 90 years old and has been in for over 2 weeks. I've come to terms with the fact that she's not going to live forever and she may not come home from the hospital. She has said over and over that she's wished she won't wake up in the morning, she's giving up, it'd be better if she wasn't here, etc. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I made cupcakes for my husband the other day and ate three of them today after lunch. At least they were not frosted. It's my "recommended" weight for my height.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You'll see in my Wordless Wednesday entry below that I made Skinny Taste's pork carnitas recently. For the Super Bowl actually. I love carnitas. I always get them from Don Pablo's. Not anymore. These had so much more taste! And they were easy to make. Even my picky husband liked them!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I bought a 10 lb kettlebell last week. I've done one workout with it so far (plan to do another tomorrow) and it will really kick your butt. You don't use your arms much, it's more a whole body/leg workout. I'm thinking of doing it Mondays and Thursdays for now. I've still been doing Wii Walk It Out. I record Biggest Loser, Heavy and I Used To Be Fat and watch them while counting steps on WIO. It's nice to have a change of pace from their music at times. Earlier this week, I made &lt;a href="http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/10/garlic-lovers-roast-beef.html#more"&gt;Garlic Lover's Roast Beef&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/10/roasted-acorn-squash-with-brown-sugar.html#more"&gt;Roasted Acorn Squash&lt;/a&gt; for dinner. My husband loved the roast, would not try the squash. Oh well, more for me! The roast was amazing and will be added to our dinner routines. Logging everything I eat on My Fitness Pal sure helps... My fridge contents are basically all one color. Beige or white. No color. It's time to change that. I got grapes, spinach, green beans, butternut squash, baby carrots and apples today. Yay! Now I just need to remember to actually make it and put it on my plate. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't think I'm going to log any more fitness times on here. I'm already doing that on MFP. My husband was harassing me to make him cupcakes. So I made a two-layer devil's food cake with chocolate frosting. And had a big piece for breakfast... &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Starting Weight: 217&lt;br /&gt;Today's Weight: not measured&lt;br /&gt;Goal Weight: 170&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today's Activity: Wii Walk It Out&lt;br /&gt;107.8 calories burned&lt;br /&gt;2987 steps&lt;br /&gt;0.8 miles walked&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2nd session&lt;br /&gt;235.8 calories burned&lt;br /&gt;6555 steps&lt;br /&gt;1.8 miles walked&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I enjoy Walk It Out. It's fun and the music is motivating. I started EA Active, then discovered my mother (who passed it on to me) didn't give me the leg band which is apparently necessary. I'm going to switch to decaf when these bags are gone and am already lowering the amount of sugar I add. I'm sure millions of people are making resolutions (that they won't keep) to lose weight. I'm not going to do that. I'm going to make a lifestyle change to become more healthy. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 20 months now and sitting in front of the tv playing Facebook games has taken it's toll. I have a Wii and WiiFit and it's time to start using them regularily. I even have EA Active that I haven't tried. To be fair, that was given to me by someone who couldn't get into it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I knew I had gained weight, but when I saw the pictures taken at Christmas... my God. I didn't realize it had gotten that bad... Here, see for yourself.
